Rigid Foam Systems
Rigid Polyurethane Foam can be made into Block form in moulds generally 2.4m * 1.2m * 1m high. This foam is then cut to sheet or pipe section for specific insulation applications. Both PUR and PIR systems can be used to make Blocks. The Foam system can be hand-mixed or poured from a high output machine into the block mould and allow to “free rise”. It is common to place a “floating lid” on the rising foam to ensure a flat top to the block and minimise foam wastage. it is possible to instal a fixed lid.
