Block foam

Product description
Our Rigid Polyurethane Block Foam Systems are engineered for high-performance thermal insulation applications where dimensional stability and consistent material quality are essential. Produced in large block formats—typically 2.4 m × 1.2 m × 1.0 m—these foams are designed to be further processed into sheets, panels, or pipe sections to meet a wide range of industrial and construction insulation requirements.
Both PUR and PIR foam systems can be used to manufacture block foams, offering flexibility in performance selection depending on insulation efficiency and fire performance needs. The systems are suitable for hand-mixing or high-output machine pouring, allowing manufacturers to adapt production methods based on scale, equipment, and operational preferences. During the foaming process, the material is allowed to free rise within the mold, ensuring uniform cell structure and consistent density throughout the block.
To improve surface quality and minimize material waste, a floating lid or fixed lid system can be applied during foam expansion. This approach helps achieve a flat, well-defined block surface, reducing trimming losses and enhancing downstream cutting efficiency. The resulting block foams provide reliable insulation performance, excellent machinability, and consistent quality for demanding insulation applications.
